Maura Shaykin collected the following opinions on Gogo Kidz, the wheels you can put on a carseat creating a stroller. Thanks, Maura!

We bought the Gogo Kidz wheels/handles for our Britax Marathons when our boys were about 11 months, and we used them for international flights.  Worked like a CHARM and can't imagine having done the trip without them.  We were able to put the kids in the shuttle car, take them out, wheel them to check-in and to gate.  Once on the plane, my husband had to carry each kid in car-seat down the aisle, as the aisle wasn't wide enough to accommodate them, but then he just buckled them into place in the plane seat.  In theory, they say to remove the wheels when using seat in car, but we keep them on during travel periods and everything is very stable and secure. Note: we also brought our double stroller on that trip and used it to push the carry-ons (since the boys were riding in car-seats), and then checked it at the gate.  Very convenient.

We loved our Gogo Kidz!  We kept them on the car seats from the minute we left the apartment until we came home a week later.  Kept them on through security, on the plane and in the car.   They were also very easy to push around.

We used the wheels for our last trip with our twins and they were great. We never removed the wheels, not in the car nor on the airplane. The only problem we encountered is one of our girls is a little talller than the other so on the plane with the wheels still on the seat her feet touched the seat in front of her and she would sometimes bang the seat in front if her which we got A LOT of dirty looks even though we kept on apologizing. We just took off her shoes which made the situation better. That is the only issue I found with leaving on the wheels. It just made it so much easier for us that way.

I have the GoGoKidZ wheels and we love them for travel. It is not approved to put the wheels on the car seat while in a car- you can, however, leave the wheels on when you put the carseat in the airplane.  I would not recommend Gogo Kidz for traveling in a cab as putting the wheels off and on would be a huge bother. At the airport, it is not a huge deal and it allows you to take your own carseats to use in a rental car and also your kids are used to them, so they are more likely to sleep/stay still on the plane. With a little practice you can attach the wheels with the kids in the seats.  It might be heavy to lift the car seat out of the car with a kid in it; my husband did it. We find that our girls love riding in the carseat with the wheels and it makes for easy travel on a plane. We have never taken a stroller with us because we have never needed it. If you have to bring a stroller, I would check it at the check-in point so that you have your hands free to deal w/ the car seats, etc.

They work great and are very easy.  We just lent ours to another twin mom, actually.  They go on pretty simply once you figure it out, you can leave the wheels on in the plane (we installed the seats facing backwards which means the seats in front can't recline, but so be it).  You do have to remove the wheels for the car, though, I believe.  We actually took the seats, the wheels AND the stroller -- though you can wheel the kids through the airport in the seats, we needed the stroller anyway and had my parents with us so a few more hands, and we put our bags in the car seats instead. (I think traveling with twins sucks, no matter how you look at it ;)

We love them!  They are pretty easy to deal with once you get the hang of them.  The wheels are pretty easy to take on and off, too.  They are not "approved" for use attached in a car, but I admit that we do leave them attached for rides within the city and to the airport in taxis.  We have gone both ways on the airplane - on and off.   My husband prefers to take the wheels off on the plane because he thinks otherwise their feet are too close to the seat in front of them (they definitely fit leaving them on - but leaving the wheels on obviously makes the car seat sit a bit more forward so I suppose as the kids get older/bigger this probably becomes more of an issue).  He has gotten good at getting the wheels off and on very quickly in a small space on the plane.  They have made traveling that much easier (not that it's easy though!) and also have been helpful for going to church, etc., in the city.
